The objective of the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Artificial Intelligence is to equip learners with an in-depth understanding of contemporary Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies, practices, and the evolving technological landscape. This qualification aims to explore both the theoretical underpinnings and practical applications of AI, providing learners with the expertise to engage in discussions, research, and the development of AI systems across various domains. Learners will gain comprehensive insights into foundational AI concepts, including classical symbolic and statistical methods, and will delve into advanced topics such as deep learning, neural networks, intelligent agents, ethics, fairness, and AI's role in sustainable development. By understanding the impact of AI on various sectors, including its integration in achieving sustainability goals, learners will be well-prepared to tackle real-world challenges using AI-driven solutions. The qualification offers mandatory units that focus on the core aspects of AI, ensuring a holistic learning experience. The curriculum spans a wide range of topics, including the introduction to AI, deep learning, ethical considerations, AI's application in sustainability, and the development of intelligent agents. The goal is to foster a deep awareness of AI's potential, its ethical and societal implications, and its use in modern problem-solving scenarios. Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will possess the knowledge and skills required to work in roles related to AI research, development, and implementation. One intake per quarter basis

These qualifications are designed for learners who are typically aged 21 and above. The entry profile for learners is likely to include at least one of the following:
• Relevant Level 6 qualification. Normally an Honours degree (or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Demonstration of relevant professional experience. Applicants should have at least 3 years professional experience in the field And, must have an:
• Understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Ability to program in Python.
• Understanding of two or more of the following mathematical and scientific Python libraries: 'numpy', 'pandas', 'scipy', and 'matplotlib'.
• Access to a stable internet connection.

The OTHM Level 7 diplomas on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) are at the same level as master’s degrees. However, they are shorter (120 credits) and learners will have to proceed to the dissertation stage (60 credits) with university to achieve a full master’s programme.

This program consists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

• Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability (20 credits)
• Ethics, Fairness and Explanation in Artificial Intelligence (20 credits)
• Deep Learning (20 credits)
• Intelligent Agents (20 credits)
• Research Methods (20 credits)

Duration 6 months and Mode of delivery is via Online (MsTeams).

All units within this qualification are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes. To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor. The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.

Achieving the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Artificial Intelligence qualification enables learners to progress into or within employment and/or continue their further study. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners are eligible to progress to Master’s top-up programmes with advanced standing at many universities in the UK and overseas.
